Search Engine Optimization or SEO is categorized as a process by which a website is developed to not only attract new and targeted visitors that convert to buying customers but also as one where the website must position exceptionally high in the search engine database in order for the website to be clicked on by the potential customer.
A search engine visitor is known to surf the 1st three pages of the main, free, organic listings for websites relevant to the search term entered (keyword or keyphrase). In regard to pay-per-click advertisements (positioned on the right side of a search page, i.e., Google), a search engine visitor runs out of interest before reaching the end of the first page if a relevant website is not found. Thus, the difference between front page placement and last place placement is significant.
Google Website Guidelines
Lancer Media, Inc. adheres to strict Google guidelines for optimizing, designing and ranking websites
- Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.
- Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.
- If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains a "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.
- Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc.
